Sharing the Joy of Music Beyond Our Walls
From its earliest days, Hoff-Barthelson Music School has brought music into the broader community—delighting audiences, enriching lives, and giving students a meaningful way to share their talents. Through Concerts for the Community, students perform in a wide range of venues, from local nursing homes and senior centers to the Scarsdale Village Green and beyond.
Whether performing in trios or larger ensembles, jazz combos or contemporary groups, students bring energy, artistry, and joy to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. These concerts are not only a highlight of the School’s calendar, but also a powerful way for students to deepen their musicianship, gain performance experience, and engage in service.
Participation in Concerts for the Community also qualifies many students for community service credit at their schools—a wonderful way to give back while growing as musicians and individuals.
We welcome both student performers and community partners to join us in this joyful work.
