We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Leandro Gazineo has joined Hoff-Barthelson Music School as the new Director of Orchestral Programs and conductor of the Festival Orchestra. Dr. Gazineo brings a wealth of experience and a dynamic vision to our orchestral programs. His expertise will elevate the quality and scope of our Festival Orchestra, fostering an environment of excellence and inspiration.

The Festival Orchestra is a premier symphonic ensemble designed for high school students who demonstrate the highest level of technical skill and musical artistry. This full symphonic orchestra meets every Tuesday evening from 7:15 to 9:30 pm and performs three major concerts annually. Each season, the Hoff-Barthelson faculty, known for their world-class performances, showcase their talents as soloists with the Orchestra. Students from Hoff-Barthelson are given the opportunity to perform as soloists through an annual concerto competition. Additionally, Festival Orchestra members gain from sectional rehearsals with the exceptional Hoff-Barthelson faculty and enjoy annual sectional coaching sessions with NY Philharmonic musicians each spring.
Open to all high school students, whether enrolled at Hoff-Barthelson Music School or elsewhere, the Festival Orchestra also welcomes exceptionally talented younger students through audition.
Tuition, Merit Scholarships, and Financial Aid
Annual tuition is $1,170 and prorated for mid-year enrollments. Merit scholarships are available to students who play bass, oboe, bassoon, horn, or trumpet and demonstrate the highest level of technical ability and musical artistry during their audition.
Additionally, Hoff-Barthelson Music School welcomes need-based financial aid applications.
